It's been a while since my last post, I'm sorry, I'm still new at this whole blogging thing. The last time I posted I was in New Zealand, since then I've been to Australia, back to New Zealand, back to Australia, to LA, to Atlanta, to Burlington and finally home to Starksboro for well over a month. The whole Australia/New Zealand camp was great, I ended up having my three best slalom results ever, and had so much awesome training thanks to honorary Redneck Racing coaches Johnny Davidson, Warner Nickerson, Daniel Ericsson, Guenther Birgmann, Brad Wall, and Ian Lochhead. Here are clips from the two ANC slaloms at Coronet Peak where I scored my two best slalom results ever, 8.50 and 9.48, and lowered my slalom world rank from 151 to 51. This year I've decided not to travel to Sölden to race in the first World Cup GS. It was a really tough decision, racing World Cups is all I want to do, but I want to be able to get a good solid slalom prep in before the Levi time trial, and want to have a longer period of time without races to focus on getting myself skiing as fast as possible. The US will only be racing four guys at Sölden, Ted Ligety, Tim Jitloff, Brennan Rubie and Jared Goldberg. Ted's looking for his fourth straight win at Sölden; Jit has been really fast on the first run each of the last two years at Sölden and if he puts two runs together will be a legitimate podium contender; Brennan and Jared are both making their Sölden debuts, and I wouldn't be surprised if they both throw it in there, I think this hill really suits both of their styles, and they both are skiing awesome. Good luck to all of them, I know I'll be waking up at 3 am to watch it live, and I hope everyone reading this will as well! It's been a nice long fall at home, and I'm definitely ready to get back on snow. I'm psyched to continue moving in the right direction with my skiing. I'm really happy with how things have been going so far, and I just want to keep building on that! I'm currently in Castle Rock, Colorado staying with my former UVM teammates Bobby and Lyndee Paulus who were kind enough to put me up until my brother gets in tonight. Tim and I are heading up to Summit County to start skiing tomorrow! Here are some pictures I've taken since my last post, enjoy! This week is the official beginning of my 2014-15 winter, from this point on I won't go more than a few days without skiing until April. That should give me plenty of stuff to post about. No more two month breaks with no posts from this guy. Thanks for reading!
